The feature length documentary: VISUAL FUTURIST:
the art & life of syd mead, covering the life and
career of the legendary conceptual designer behind
the films Blade Runner, TRON, Aliens, 2010, and
Star Trek: The Motion Picture, will be having it's
WORLD PREMIERE at Dances With Films festival on
Sunday, July 23rd, at 12:30 p.m., at the Santa Monica
Laemmle Theatre.
The documentary includes interviews with Blade Runner
producer Michael Deeley, production executive, Katherine
Haber, vehicle builder, Gene Winfield, and author of
"Future Noir", Paul M. Sammon.
May 29, 2006 SUPER NEWS!!! INCREDIBLE but true,
all legal issue about the re-edition of Blade Runner as a new multi-disc box set are gone!
The next year B.R. will celebrate the 25th anniversary, and just for this event it will be released
the most wanted pack of the Special Edition.
The news are many but we can reassume here with:
one version of the movie absolutely new, called "Final Cut", that is the real Ridley Scott's
interpretation, as he always have wanted to do since beginning, that will includes all the cut scenes.
other three versions of the movie: the european one, the american one and the Director's cut
many brand new unpublished material like interviews, specials...

Discovered the site of Patrick Parenteau, with beautiful 3D
images of the Esper and the Blimp and also a little movie. He's
specialized in professional 3D graphics for his work, but he've
done these images as hobby, and I can say that he've obtained
incredible results.
