The Soundtrack
The
unbelievable and surrealist soundtrack has, without doubt, helped
the film "Bladerunner" to become one of the most innovative films
in the history of cinema. The first version was made in 1982, it's
an orchestral adaptation by the New American Orchestra of the motion
picture music. The original soundtrack of the film was released by Vangelis in 1994. The album contains also a comment by the same Vangelis that reads:
Songs are in MP3 format. You can choose, for each song, to download only the first 30 seconds. The complete tracks, for this moment, are unavailable. I hope to restore the working links as soon as possible. |

published by WEA, it contains only 8 songs and it's been interpreted
by the New American Orchestra.
BLADE
RUNNER
I dare to give you
my personal opinion: both the albums are fantastic,
especially for those who love the atmosphere of the movie and for
those who like futuristic music between New Age and digital music.
The original is more complete, lasts longer and it is exactly the
same of the movie's. If you have the chance don't miss this release
because it is very beautiful. | ||||||||||||

Vangelis released also another album called "Themes"
in 1990 containing some of his more popular movie soundtracks:
THEMES
"Memories
of Green" was originally produced in the album "See you later" by Vangelis.
Scott used an orchestral version for his movie Someone
to Watch Over Me
There is also a CD called "Blade Runner: Synthesizer Soundtracks" but it contains only pieces of various movies.

Don't ask me what has that got to do with B.R. because
I have no idea!! According to some indiscretions it should be present
also the "End Title" track from B.R., but I took this list of song directly
from Amazon.com, so it should be right!
